Here goes my firts blog !
My name is Jan and I have a small shop in Somerset, called Celtic Dreams.
We moved here from London in August 2004 and we opened the shop in December 2004. I sell fair trade clothes and gifts, and I love me shop to bits!
I cannot say its been a complete success, but we have managed to keep going so far!
Problem is we live in a very small seaside town/village that depends on Tourists to keep us going financially.
We have had a really busy weekend, but it will probably be our last really busy weekend for a while as most children are back to school this wendesday, and we do tend to go very quiet, soon after. My partner Huw ( yes, you guessed it, he is Welsh) have recently had a new addition to the family, our beautiful Jack Russel dog called Charlie.
He is two, but so tiny he still looks like a puppy, at the moment he is being spoiled like a baby.
You see all of our 5 children ( Huws has 3 boys, and I have 2 girls) have flown the nest. Huws boys live in Wales and my two daughters live in London.
Mind you today(Monday)has been busier than we thought it might be.
We open the shop 7 days a week, Huw helps too and he also has a part time job.
He is also painting a house in the town for extra cash.!
So thats my first blog, I hope it is up to scratch !!
bye for now J xx
